April 17th will be a day to remember for a group of Bishop O'Connell engineering students who were able to witness first-hand the launch of their satellite project at NASA's Wallops Island Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. To top off the experience, NASA's Deputy Administrator and O'Connell alumnus, James Morhard '74, took the time to meet with the students at the NASA facility and engage them in a conversation about space opportunities and to share his own experiences from his time at Bishop O'Connell to where he is today.
Morhard is returning to Bishop O'Connell on May 20 to share more with O'Connell students—on topics ranging from opportunities for internships, mentors and careers at NASA to how his time at O'Connell and his faith has shaped his own life.
