The Chinese Culture Club will be having its first meeting today after school in Room 223.   Remember - you don't have to be Chinese to join!  This is a great chance to have some fun while learning about Chinese culture and history!  We hope to see you there!

On Thursday, September 12, the DJO Cheerleaders will be holding a bake sale in the cafeteria during all lunch periods.

There will be the first Philosophy Club discussion Tuesday after school in room 215. Anyone is welcome to attend; the topic is Evolution and Genesis. See Mr. Allen for details.

There will be a Fashion Club meeting today from 3:00-3:30 in room 302. There will be a Photography Club meeting tomorrow at 3:00 also in room 302. Both meetings are for anyone interested in joining.

The Asian American Culture and language Club will meet on Thursday September 12 at 3:05 PM in the Counseling Conference Room. All interested students are welcome to attend our first meeting of the year.

Coed Cheerleading Tryouts will be held Tuesday, September 10 from 3:15 to 5:15 and Wednesday, September 11 from 6:00 to 8:30 in the Upper Gym. Tryouts are open to Freshmen and transfer students ONLY. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Jacobsen in the counseling office.

The Pep Band is looking for dedicated individuals to play percussion! Do you play the drum set, or want to pick it up again? If so, please stop by the band room after school and talk to Ms. St. John. Pep Band typically meets on Wednesdays after school until 4:15 with a couple of rehearsals on Thursdays, in addition to the home Varsity Football Games. A complete schedule is available for you if you think you are interested in participating.

The orchestra needs a double bass player! If you play the electric bass and would like to try to learn the double bass, this is a perfect opportunity for you. Have you played a string instrument in the past and would like to try a new stringed instrument? If so, please stop by the band room and talk to Ms. St. John. A double bass is available for you to use.
