Cafe Vaticano will be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week due to Senior Retreats.
Reminder -  Please be sure to turn in all Colonel Seone Essays on "Why I Am Proud to Be an American" either by email or hard copy to Mrs. Wentzel in room 326 today! $1500 will be divided among 3 O'Connell winners.
The juniors vs. seniors Powderpuff game is scheduled for November 20.
Thank you all again for your generosity during our soup drive for Christ House. With your help we collected nearly 10,000 cans of soup. The seniors brought the most cans in, followed by the sophomores, the freshman and then the juniors.
A big thank you goes to the administrative offices who collected approximately 1,500 cans, too.
Winning advisories for each grade were:

Advisory 2E Mrs. Graif (568 cans)
Advisory 3H Mrs. Stabile (280 cans)
Advisory 4S Mr. Britt (847 cans)
 - Your donut breakfast will be delivered next week. 
Tri-M will be having a mandatory meeting Wednesday, November 4 in the Band Room after school.
There will be a brief meeting in the SCA room after school today for all junior class officers and councilors. Please meet promptly after school.
DJO has established a chapter of the Science National Honor Society. To be a member, you must be a junior or senior, have a cumulative 3.0 GPA and a 3.5 GPA in your science classes, and be enrolled in an Honors or AP science class during each of your junior and senior years. If you are interested, see Mr. Glynn or pick up an application in room 233

All young women at O'Connell are invited to attend Made for Greatness: A Young Women's Conference, which will be held at Bishop O'Connell High School on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 14th. You can register at lunches this week- just bring $15 in cash or check. You can also register online on the school website. See Ms. Funk with any questions!
