Student representatives from both the Young Women’s and Young Men’s Executive Clubs recently traveled into Washington, D.C. to deliver gently worn men and women’s professional clothing to be donated to STRIVE DC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping D.C. residents who need help finding sustained employment and becoming contributing members to their community.
Theology department chair and club moderator, Mr. David Owens, accompanied the students on this trip which marked the second donation by the Young Men’s Executive Club, and the first by the newly formed Young Women’s Executive Club. The overflowing trunks were the result of a school-wide professional clothing drive organized by the two clubs.
"We feel blessed to have had this opportunity to give to the local community," said a member of the contingent. "We are excited to give even more next year."
