Congratulations to all of the O'Connell runners who competed in the Arlington County Cross Country Championships on March 17. After months of waiting and weeks of practice, the Knights kicked off their rescheduled season at this classic regional meet.
"It was very exciting for our athletes to have real competition after more than a year," said head coach James Connor. "All of our runners ran well."
The high point of the meet was the Knights' first place finish in the girls' race. All five of O'Connell runners (Olivia Chiappetta '21, Cece Fleenor '21, Rowan Nolen '22, Tess Brinkmann '21, and Erika Van Dyke '21) finished in the Top 11.
