Bishop O’Connell High School has named Will Byrne as their new head coach of the golf team.
Coach Byrne comes to O'Connell with extensive playing and coaching experience, most recently as a graduate assistant coach at Villanova University. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Villanova University where he captained the golf team for two of his four years from 2015 - 2018. During his amateur and college career, Coach Byrne qualified for the U.S. Four Ball and competed in several Maryland and Virginia State Amateurs and Opens.

“I am humbled and excited to have been afforded the opportunity to lead Bishop O’Connell’s golf program,” said Byrne. “I am excited to play a small part in the growth and development of student-athletes and others on campus, and am looking forward to joining the prestigious staff and faculty at Bishop O’Connell as they continue to build future leaders and productive, Christ-centered citizens through service to others.
