Bishop O'Connell High School has named George Okeno as the head coach of the school's field hockey team.
Coach Okeno comes to O'Connell with extensive playing and coaching experience, most recently as an assistant varsity coach at Woodgrove High School in Percullville. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Education (Mathematics and Economics) from the University of Nairobi in Kenya, and has significant coaching and sports leadership training in both Kenya and the U.S., including certification by USA Field Hockey.
Coach Okeno has extensive playing and coaching experience in field hockey and we are confident that he can lead our program in line with the mission of the school. He is a coach who has a commitment and passion for the sport and we are confident he will use that to develop the players and the team.
