Hey Junior Class…are you interested in being a part of the SCA student government and service team next year? Come by the SCA office and pick up a nomination form. Executive Board forms are due back on Monday, May 4. Class officer forms are due back on Wednesday, May 13.

Any sophomore in need of service hours to complete their requirement this year need to see Ms. Hogan in the Christian Service Office for an opportunity that has come up right here at DJO.

Junior SCA class officers and Senior SCA class officers and councilors please come to SCA room after announcements for important details regarding Sunday’s Mother\Son Brunch. Thank you!

The Spring Fling is tonight and tickets are not sold at the door! Get you ticket today during lunch! Attention ALL homeroom reps … please bring in two 2-liter bottles of soda or bottled water to the SCA room TODAY for the Spring-Fling dance. Thank you

If you are a member of the Spanish Honor Society and did not attend the meeting yesterday, please see Señorita Yanine in room 310  or one of the officers: Srijan Bhasin, Alisa An, Alex Soccarras, or Theresa Cordero, TODAY. It is imperative you do so if you want to graduate as a member of the Spanish Honor Society. Thank you!

Senior members of the National English Honor Society: Order forms for graduation cords are due TODAY. Please submit form and payment to Mrs. Cerniglia in Room 323

'Operation smile: changing lives one smile at a time.' First operation smile student club meeting will be TODAY, during B lunch in room 315, please see Brandon Horwath or Jessica Manning for details... There will be cookies!

French Honor Society seniors- see Ms. Webb TODAY if you would like to order a graduation cord. They are $8 and will not be ordered until payment is made.

All freshmen and upperclassmen who wish to become Keyettes next year--remember your applications are due TODAY. That is the deadline. No applications will be considered after that date. Get your applications in. You don't want to miss out being a Keyette during the '15 - '16 school year. Turn applications in to Mrs. Graif in room 114 or Mrs. Koranek in room 116." Thanks.

Attention AP students: any student who has not completed a pre-administration session should report to the Counseling Conference room during advisory, TODAY. The AP exam schedule for the week of May 4 will be posted in the Blitz and outside both the Counseling and Center Office. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your exam start time and don't forget number 2 pencils -No Mechanical Pencils Allowed!  Also, new seating procedure this year required by College Board: Posted outside the exam location will be a assigned seat listing. You will need to check for your assigned seat prior to entering the exam room. Good Luck with all your exams!

The Festival of the Arts is this Saturday, May 2nd from 6 to 9pm.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see the art work created in our art classes and hear your friends perform.  We will have three stages going at once!  PLus, lots of great food will be served! Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!

In honor of former principal Richard Martin, the PTO awards $500.00 to a senior at graduation, who has written the best essay entitled "What O'Connell has meant to Me". The essay should be no longer than one page double-spaced (longer will not be accepted). E-mail the essay to Mrs. Stabile by next Friday, May 8.

Hey O’Connell… thank you for your support of Superdance 2015, and thank you to all the students who have sent in their pledged money. We would ask that the following students come to the SCA room to speak with us about your outstanding pledged money:

Did you raise over $300 for Superdance? If so, you can dress out for your AP and final exams. The list will be posted on the SCA room door.
