The Global Studies program recently hosted two O'Connell alumni to share their experiences in the technology management field. Sharon Greenhalgh Watts '82 and Donna Christensen Rhoads '90 both are senior managers at Lockheed Martin. Watts is Vice President and Rhoads is Director of Mission, Engineering and Technical Capabilities within Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions (IS&GS).
The meeting took place after school in the library, and the two successful program managers shared with the students some important lessons that they've learned along the way. They touched on the importance of an ethical foundation, they encouraged students to travel and to try different fields in college.
"We all get where are going on different paths" was one of the main points of discussion.
There was a special message for the girls in the room, too, encouraging them to explore technology career fields.
