Congratulations to O’Connell’s Swim Team who competed in States over the weekend:
- The boys placed 6th and the girls placed 11th overall.
- Chris Outlaw won the state championship in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events. He also broke two of his own personal records in those events and received an automatic high school All-American time in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.78.
- Andrew Dibenidetto placed 7th in the 100 backstroke, as did John Stahlman who also placed 7th in the 100 breast stroke.
- The relay of Sean Bergman, John Stahlman, Andrew Dibenidetto, and Chris Outlaw medaled placing third overall in the 200 medley and 5th in the 200 freestyle.
- For the girls, Sarah Cahill placed 5th in the 100 breaststroke, and Sydney Catron also placed 5th in the 100 back stroke and 8th in the 200 freestyle.
- The girls 200 medley relay of Molly Elor, Sarah Cahill, Sydney Catron, and Isabell Baltimore placed 7th overall.
Attention all senior and junior boys: sign up for the powder-puff volleyball game during lunch this week. You must be registered for Superdance in order to play. Spectators who come to watch will have to pay $1. All the proceeds will go towards Superdance. Sign up by Thursday for a chance to play in the game this Friday at 3 in the main gym!
Calling all writers, poets, photographers and artists! The DJO literary magazine is opening its annual call for submissions, and we're looking for a group of interested students to help put everything together as we gather short stories, poems, artwork, photos... You name it! If you're creative, we'd love your input :) If you'd like to be a part of the Largesse editorial board, or if you have something you'd like to submit to this year's literary magazine, please stop by room 321 on Wednesday after school (from 3 to 3:30 pm) to learn more - or see Mr. Meehan for details!

Take this opportunity to renew your relationship with Christ. The Chaplain's Office is offering extra confessions every day after school from 3:00-3:30 until April 1st. In addition, an extra Mass will be offered during B Lunch every Friday during Lent.
