A wonderful opportunity had been presented to our DJO students. The Col. C. A. Seone Award will grant $500. to three of our students who write the best essay responding to "Why I Like Being an American Citizen." The deadline is October 31 and the awards will hopefully be presented on Nov. 6 unless we have over 1,000 entries for the judges to consider. The Asian American Students Association will hold the October monthly meeting on Thursday (today) October 9 AT 315 IN THE COUNSELING CONFERENCE ROOM. The theme for October is Chinese Culture. Please come by and try on traditional costumes, learn Chinese, enjoy music and delicious Chinese food in the faculty lounge after school on Thursday. Everyone is welcome.
Global Studies students- Ms. Funk's core course, Morals and Ethics for a Globalized World, will be offered on Wednesday, October 15th from 2-5pm. There are a few spaces still remaining for all Global Studies students who have not completed this requirement.
