Our students from France arrive October 10, National French Week will soon follow, and the International Francophone Festival is just around the corner! If you want to dig into the culture and variety of France, Louisiana or any other part of the French-speaking world, the French Club is probably for you! Knowing the language is not a requirement. All students are welcome! There will be a general meeting on Wednesday, October 1 at 3.Carnival time and Mardi Gras will be here before you know it! Get in on the ground floor! Attention for seniors and juniors who are applying or reapplying for the Social Studies Honor Society, Rho Kappa: You can get your application form from Mr. Haas in Room 124 or any of the board members (Marty Knauf, Sarah Davis, Anna Flach, or Claire Saunders). This week we are celebrating Banned Books Week. Celebrating the Freedom to Read is observed during the last week of September each year. Observed since 1982, the annual event reminds Americans not to take this precious democratic freedom for granted.
