Congratulations to Bishop O'Connell seniors, Ina Chung and Kit Shiells, who took first place in the high school division of the 2021 National Education Contest, sponsored by the Catholic Daughters of Americas. Both submitted their entries to the contest earlier this year, Ina in the art category and Kit in the essay category. After earning first place in the local court contest, and then at the state level, their entries were submitted to the national level to be judged over the summer. The theme for the 2021 contest was “Let all you do be don with love," 1 Cor. 16:14.
Mrs. Constance Donnelly and Mrs. Marian Starr from the local Catholic Daughters court came to O'Connell on Aug. 30 to present the awards.
