Nate ThomasBishop O'Connell has named Nathan Thomas as the new head coach of the school's boys lacrosse program. Coach Thomas comes to O'Connell after five years as an assistant coach for the Howard Community College program. Previously, Coach Thomas spent three years as the head coach of Justice (formerly JEB Stuart) High School's varsity lacrosse team. He is a graduate of SUNY Brockport, where he was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team, and a 2012 captain and all-conference athlete.

"I am extremely honored and excited to be joining the Bishop O'Connell community as the new boys Iacrosse coach, and am looking forward to meeting these young men and their families and having the opportunity to lead them on and off the field," said Coach Thomas. "I cannot wait to get started on building a consistent and winning lacrosse program. Go Knights! "

O'Connell's athletic director, Joe Wootten, called him a natural leader with great coaching experience. "Coach Thomas has a superb vision for the program, and we are confident that he is the coach to lead and build the boys lacrosse program here at Bishop O'Connell."

The athletics office is hosting a Zoom meet and greet for players and parents/guardians this Wednesday, June 23 at 6 p.m. Please contact Coach Thomas at nthomas@bishopoconnell.org to receive the Zoom link.
